Description
“When I got hired to build in Breckenridge, a skiing and snowboarding town in the Rocky Mountains, I found a former gold mining site while scouting an area, a short hike away from the city. Millions of broken stones were lying everywhere. The mine had been abandoned long ago, and the area was polluted. I decided to build a troll sitting there, stacking the stones.” Colorado, USA 2019, from the book Trash Trolls & Treasure Hunts by Thomas Dambo.
Isak Heartstone is the 40th recycle wood sculpture by Thomas Dambo and was made for Breckenridge Creative Arts Festival Breck Create. He got his name after three little girls, came by and gave Isak a stone heart, which Thomas installed in the sculpture.
